Created, branded and opened a coffee shop in Gresham which has been in operation for eighteen years. The Silk Espresso brand has grown to include an 1,800 square foot café with a drive-thru and vibrant marketplace.  Active social media engagement boasts over 12K combined followers, all obtained organically.  Annual gross sales over $600K. Vendors include local and national brands like Pepsi Co., Stumptown Coffee Roasters and Petunias Pies and Pastries.  As owner I oversaw all marketing/social media content, team building, hiring, firing, training, product placement, quality control, menu development, payroll, budgeting, accounting and company culture. I am also a certified Stumptown barista and latte artist. The business has sold which frees me up for my next opportunity.

Founded in 2018 to help small businesses grow their digital marketing presence.  I book all shoots, photograph, write copy, edit (Photoshop) and deliver all content for my clients. I have my own equipment (Cannon 70D / GoPro) and post static images and reels frequently on behalf of unique brands across all desired social media channels.  Notable past/current clients include Mellow & Moxie Salon, Victory Chapel, Hannah Pet Hospital of Portland, Tactica Fashion of Post Falls, Idaho, Margarita Factory of Gresham/Vancouver and Thunder Island Brewing in Cascade Locks.  A portfolio of static images can be viewed here.

Reed College | Rentals Coordinator | Portland, OR                                

July 2003 – January 2005

Hired to bring revenue to the college by selling and managing the use of the College facilities when rented by outside organizations for concerts, summer conferences, banquets and lectures. Brought in 60 revenue producing events grossing $45,132.50 by positioning and selling the campus facilities to outside groups. Hand-picked 28 summer programs to rent facilities/lodging grossing $212,085.50 in revenue. Managed seven season rental groups of the 750-seat performance hall, total revenue for these groups $24,904 over 8 months.

The Moda Center | Event Coordinator | Portland, OR                                                  

May 2001 – July 2003

Assisted with the promotion and execution of events at the Rose Garden and the Memorial Coliseum. Managed repeat events with clients including NBA/WNBA basketball, OSAA High School Championships, House of Blues events and Clear Channel Entertainment. Maintained safety of all guests during public and private events and built healthy relationships with key players in the event marketing, athletics and entertainment industry. Provided direction to all internal departments and part-time crew working an event.

Managed all event-related aspects that supported the brand objectives of the Portland based women’s sports apparel website. Created a unique ROI analysis of lucy’s grassroots efforts to measure brand exposure in terms of actual cost for each newly acquired user. Worked closely with lucy’s affiliate/sponsor representatives to maximize brand exposure in key markets national.  Worked in over 30 markets nationally and across 7 sport categories. Managed temporary employees for each event and a promotional budget of $250,000; ordered all marketing swag and tchotchkies for each event.

August 1999 – April 2000          

Hired to meet the communication and collateral needs of the branding effort with dynamic Internet sports marketing start up.  Helped to build brand awareness and community membership by executing event sponsorships at various venues across the nation. Planned and executed company brand launch at the New York City Marathon. Liaison to national corporate sponsors like PowerBar & the National Institute for Sports and Fitness. Planned and executed all event details from start to finish, communicated daily with sponsor representatives and field marketing team. Met all staffing and collateral needs for each event within budget. Scheduled, planned and executed on-site events and sponsorships from start to finish.

N.I.R.S.A | Event Coordinator | Corvallis, OR                                                  

December 1998 – July 1999

Served as the national coordinator of all sponsored and endorsed programs offered to the NIRSA membership (over 300 colleges.) Executed five collegiate national championships, each in a different sport and in a different city. Maintained consistency of NIRSA brand, sponsor brand and venue recognition across all functions of program. Researched and produced program decks for future sponsorships with national partners such as the United States Tennis Association and Nike/Nutrigrain Training & Fitness program.

National Media Group| Account Executive | Manhattan, NY                                                

July 1998 – December 1998

Contracted to work with a sports marketing team to market, staff, operate, and evaluate nationwide marketing programs for such corporate partners as Nike, Lady Foot Locker, Edge, Coca-Cola, Schick and Self Magazine. Secured local/national site facilities and scheduled event venues in each target market. Recruited participants, attendees and staff in each market; trained volunteers in event expectations. Insured consistency of brand and safety of events across national scale; coordinated all athlete and celebrity appearances and sampling programs. Provided each sponsor with an evaluation and analysis of event presence in each market and maintained database of user info for the client.
